Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Drops Major Performance Patch for PC and PS5
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has just rolled out a major new update on both PS5 and PC, bringing much-needed performance improvements and extensive bug fixes after a launch period plagued by technical issues. Developer Arc System Works previously addressed some day-one concerns, but this fresh patch aims to tackle a broader range of player complaints, especially on PC.
What’s New in the Latest Patch
The biggest highlight for PC users is the fix for errors that caused heavy processing loads during matches, which should result in smoother gameplay and fewer interruptions. In addition to this fix, the update includes a wide array of smaller bug resolutions—addressing specific character move glitches and squashing issues found only on the PS5 build. The improvements aren’t isolated to just a few areas: nearly all game modes, from Character Lessons to Online Matches and Arcadia Rumble, have seen some level of refinement.
A tweak to the replay functionality means that previously saved replays will no longer be accessible after updating. PC players will also notice a bigger patch size due to additional optimizations, and are encouraged to complete the game’s shader warm-up before diving back in for a smoother experience. On PS5, new players may still encounter a known issue during the initial setup, but waiting until the full game install completes should resolve the problem, with Arc promising a permanent fix in a future update.
The Big Picture
This major patch comes as a relief to those who felt Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls didn’t hit its stride out of the gate, especially on PC. With game-wide stability improvements and fixes spanning almost every mode, players can expect a much more polished experience going forward. For those who had to set aside the game due to performance headaches or replay hiccups, now is a solid time to jump back in and test the changes for themselves.
