Marvel’s Wolverine Goes Gold, Shows Off Gold Claws for Digital Deluxe Edition
Insomniac Games has just dropped a major update on Marvel’s Wolverine, confirming that the game has officially gone gold and is set to arrive on PS5 this September. Alongside this milestone, fans got a fresh look at one of the game’s new cosmetics: gold claws, which will be up for grabs in-game.
Gold Milestone and New Cosmetics
Going gold means Insomniac has completed development on Wolverine, locking in its release plans and putting to rest any concerns about a last-minute delay. To mark the achievement, a brief new clip shows off Wolverine popping a pair of shiny, gold-colored claws. Insomniac confirms these gold claws will be available as an equippable in-game cosmetic, letting players further set their version of Logan apart.
Exclusive Suits and More Customization
Marvel’s Wolverine will feature a variety of outfits, with five of them showcased in a recent trailer. These five suits are tied to the Digital Deluxe Edition, but players can expect a much broader slate of cosmetics yet to be revealed. The game is set to pull from Wolverine’s classic looks across TV, comics, and film, while also introducing original Insomniac-created suits. When it comes to claws, players will have more than just the gold versions to choose from; serrated and smoothed-out variants have been teased as well.
The ability to mix and match suits and claw types should add a highly personalized touch to each playthrough. While previous Insomniac games have made their way to PC post-launch, Marvel’s Wolverine appears to be PS5 exclusive for now, with no current signs of a PC release in the cards.
